Sprinkler System Installation

Custom Installation

If you are considering an automatic lawn sprinkler system I suggest you take the time to learn as much as you can about what is involved in the design and installation of a quality system. Become familiar with industry standards, products and brands, because all systems are not created equal. Just like cars, we all call them cars, but there can be a big difference between a compact economy model and a 4-wheel drive SUV. They basically do the same thing, but one is designed to do much more than the other. The same goes for sprinkler systems. As you shop and entertain bids for your new system, make sure your contractor is licensed and insured. There are a number of reasons this is important. The most important being that its the law. In order for the contractor to obtain the required permit to install your system the contractor must be registered with the municipality in which the work is to be performed, he or she must provide current valid proof of license and certificate of liability insurance. There are a number of competent installers who do good work, but they may not be licensed. When a contractor holds a valid license there is accountability for all contractual work. He must also follow all regulations, codes and standards. This in turn gives you the consumer peace of mind knowing that you have recourse and that the contractor can be held accountable. You won't have to worry about the infamous taillight warranty (good for as long as you can see his taillights). Licensed landscape irrigators and technicians are governed by the state of Texas and directly accountable to the TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), which oversees the irrigation industry in Texas.

Here at Just A Good Sprinkler Man, we take pride in creating custom, efficient, long lasting quality lawn sprinkler systems. We carefully inspect your property and together with your needs and concerns we formulate a custom design for you. We use only quality professional tried and true products, we don't use any big box store products, this definitely makes a big difference in performance and longevity. All of this allows me to offer my customers an industry exclusive 3 year warranty which covers all products and workmanship. This warranty includes a spring check-up every spring during the warranty period. Our systems provide optimum coverage, all hydro-zones are designed based on precipitation rates, plant material, micro-climate, soil type and topography.

There are many sprinkler systems installed every year, some good and some not so good. To put this in a better perspective, conservatively about 40% of my business is directly related to upgrading, revamping and redesigning existing systems due to poor design and installation. I hope this helps you make a more informed decision. Remember your new system is a sizable investment that should last a long time and be an asset not a liability, good luck!

*****note we currently only install in San Antonio proper and within Bexar County and the E.T.J (Extraterritorial jurisdiction) due to heavy demand for repair service between May-September, there may be a 1-2 week waiting period, to begin new installation********
